The poolside and the path must be slip resistant. Bricks, natural stones or pavers can be used, but not wood. Pavers are more expensive, but they come in a variety of colours and patterns. In addition to this, they move with the ground movements, instead of cracking, thus providing more longevity. Bricks of rough surfaces have traction and can also be used. On the other hand, wood is slippery, and will warp and splinter in the long run. Addition of pool fence is an unavoidable necessity, for the safety of the kids. Trees should not hang over the swimming pool. Otherwise it will be a nuisance to keep the water clean.
